Two New Plays on Broadway

A quick update on two new plays currently in previews on Broadway.

Present Laughter is presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company.  The revival of the Noel Coward classic showbiz comedy stars four-time Tony nominee Victor Garber as “vain matinee idol Garry Essedine [who] becomes entangled in the amusing personal crises of the people around him, which are largely of his own making.”  The play is currently in previews with the opening on January 21st.  It runs through March 21st.  Save up to 45% on tickets through  Tickets range from $46.50 to $69.50 (regular $66.50 to $116.50) for performances through February 28th.  Order by January 24th.   Or, from TicketWatch, go directly to the Roundabout Theatre web site and enter code: PLTKW on the ticket order page.  Prices are the same. Time Stands Still is a Manhattan Theatre Club production starring an accomplished ensemble of actors:  Eric Bogosian, Brian D’Arcy James, Laura Linney, and Alicia Silverstone.  The play, written by Donald Margulies and directed by Daniel Sullivan, tells the story of “Sarah and James, a photographer and journalist, [who] have been together for years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war.  But when circumstances compel them to return home to New York and their circle of friends, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life.”  Discounted tickets are available through using code SSMAN36.  You’ll save over 45% with prices ranging from $38 to $58 for performances through March 21st.  Order by February 14th.
